In Romans 1:20 we read, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse” (NASB). In Psalm 19:1-2 we read, “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge” (NASB).

These verses show that God’s witness of Himself in creation is so powerful that mankind is without excuse when it comes to whether or not God exists. The incredible design all around us clearly shows us that there is a Designer.

Praise God that we do not have to live our lives without our Bibles. Praise God for every effort to reach every human being with the precious Word of God. In the Bible we see that the all-powerful Creator loves us “with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). We see that there is “one God” (1 Timothy 2:5) and three persons in the Godhead, “the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:18, NASB). We see that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We see that “the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world” (1 John 4:14). We see that “the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). We see that mankind’s responsibility is “repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21).

When we trust in the Lord Jesus as our Savior, He gives us a desire to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). The indwelling Holy Spirit “will guide you into all truth” and focus our attention on Christ (John 16:13). Throughout our lives “He careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7), “will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5), “is my helper” (Hebrews 13:6), guides us with His counsel and will “afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 73:24). Yes, praise God for our Bibles. Such treasures we find in the precious Word of God! (268.9) (DJ)
