Let’s look at the words of the Lord to His disciples after His resurrection. In Mark 16:15 we read, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is often referred to as the Great Commission. The Lord’s desire was that ALL THE WORLD would hear the Gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” The Lord wants us all to be saved. He is not willing that any should perish.

Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…” The proclamation of the Gospel has untold power. It can convert the most defiant atheist. It can melt the hardest heart. It can bring the strongest man down to his knees. It is the presentation of the Gospel of Christ that saves. Romans 10:13-14 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and HOW SHALL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER?” Unless someone preaches, or proclaims, the Gospel, men will not be saved.

How do we properly present the Gospel to the lost? Of course, the best way is through one-on-one appealing to the lost to be saved. However, that is not the ONLY way to share the Gospel. We can pass out tracts. We can mail Christian literature to others. I know some that mail out sympathy letter to those who have lost a loved one. In those letters, they include Gospel tracts. In our modern age of the Internet, Facebook, Instagram, chat rooms, and others, there are excellent opportunities to share the Gospel with others, far and near. In all likelihood, you are currently on your Facebook page. Answers From the Book is a Facebook site. Plus, www.answersfromthebook.net is a website that contains all the questions and answers that have ever appeared on the Facebook page.   These are ways to utilize the Internet for the Lord. Whether in a private setting, or in a public forum, let us be constantly aware of the Lord’s ‘Great Commission’ to “preach the gospel to every creature.” (297.4)
