Here are two quotes people use, the first on being “Death and life lies in the tongue;” the other is “If you speak to this mountain it will move.” These are used by most people who claim that they can speak things into existence or declare. What do you think about this?

Can you explain to me Luke 23:46?

Who is Theophilus in Luke 1:1-4?  I read it and there’s something about what Luke stated there specifically in verse 3 when he says, “With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus.”

Matthew 2:5-6 is the fulfillment of the prophecy in Micah 5:2. But Matthew says, “…art NOT THE LEAST among the princes…” And Micah says, “…thou be LITTLE among the thousands of Judah…” May you give me an explanation on the two verses?

In John 4:25, the Samaritan woman said to Jesus “I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ ….”  Why did she use both the Hebrew and Greek words for our Lord’s title?

When Jesus was praying, the images of Moses and Elijah, which we regard as ghosts appeared, and they had conversations with Jesus. My question is, although the Bible says there should be no relationship between the living and the dead, why did Jesus Himself, who is the author and finisher of our faith, do it?

Some state that if we say positive things about ourselves, then it shall come to pass, and the same can be said about negative things. Some quote, “Whatever you bind on earth is also bound in heaven and whatever you loosen on earth is loosened in heaven.” Do any of these verses really mean what these people say they mean?

Luke 22:69 says, “Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.” Did this happen when He was taken by the Sanhedrin at that moment or did He mean when He died on the cross, He would be at the right hand of God?”

Luke 22:53 says, “When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” What is this hour and the power of darkness?

The Bible speaks of “mansions” that Jesus has gone to prepare, and I wonder if this is literal?  If we don’t need anything, no sleep, no night, etc., why would we need a mansion?  Does this mean just being in His presence?

I believe the Bible says as far as the east is from the west, the Lord will forgive our sins. So, is Matthew 18:8-9 for believers and non-believers?

2 Timothy 3:16 says all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. I have heard that some verses in the Bible (like the story of the woman taken in adultery in John 8:2-11) were not originally written by the inspired writers of the Bible. Why were they added then? Secondly, in the Gospels, where Jesus was all alone, how did His disciples know about those instances if they were absent?

Can you explain Matthew 5:28-30?  Does the Lord really want us to pluck out our eyes or cut off our hands to keep us from sinning?

I am trying to convey to someone about light and dark. Politically they are on the dark side and I was trying to convey the light and all they did was laugh at me when I was trying to be serious about the subject. What do I do?
