Is this the real translation of Matthew 6:26, “…the believer looks at the birds in the sky, that do not reap nor gather into the barns, and trust that the Father will provide.”? In this verse Jesus tells his followers not to be anxious about food, but to rely on God as the birds, who are worth far less than people, are fully provided for.” It seems to me it is putting humans on a higher level than nature, which is disturbing to me. It seems the original Aramaic and indeed Jesus the Christ would not say such a thing. I believe Jesus the Christ cared about all life as being a precious gift.

Why, according to Numbers 15:32-36, was a man put to death for gathering sticks on the Sabbath and in Mark 2:23-27 the disciples did not get the same punishment for picking some ears of corn? And again, in Mark 2:25, why were the lives of David and his men spared after eating bread meant for priests? What is it that the disciples and David did that the man in Numbers did not do?

I believe in God but I’m having a hard time having blind faith in him. The Bible leaves me with more questions than answers. I live in the south and it’s hard to ask questions without being judged and told to read the Bible. I do know that if I keep on praying the Lord will guide me. I need more advice then just telling me to pray. Sorry if I’m rambling, I’m just finally getting this off my chest.
