I have had a question about I Corinthians 15:29. What does it mean to be “BAPTIZED FOR THE DEAD”? Is this where Catholics get the idea of lighting candles and paying money for priests to pray for their deceased loved ones? Like Purgatory?

How do you know that Judas did not believe? What if he let his heart get caught up in greed and went to his downfall at the end, but believed in his heart and confessed with his heart as a disciple?

Why does everyone say there were 3 wise men? Does the Bible say anything about how many wise men there were? I’ve heard there were four and one got lost. Where does it say this in the Bible?

1 Timothy 5:8 says, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” I have always been surprised by this verse. How can not providing for oneself or family be worse than being without faith as an unbeliever? I am aware that 2 Thessalonians 3:10 applies to those that were becoming lazy and quit working while they were waiting for the rapture but I don’t know about the context of 1 Timothy 5:8.

1 Timothy 4:10 says, “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” What does it mean that God is “the savior of all men, especially of those that believe?”

Do you believe Obama is doing wrong? I hear all the time that he is conspiring to take our weapons from us to “protect us” but it’s really to make us weaker. Is this the false prophet God has warned us about?

I have heard that Satan will be released during the Thousand Year Reign. Why is that? It will be so awesome to not have to fight him every day and just be with Jesus. Why does God release him for a while? After that, doesn’t he just have to stay in hell?
