In Joshua 11, Joshua is in a battle with 5 kings and kills all of them. Plus, he conquered their cities. I see in the OT wars, killing and conquering. The NT is completely different with the Bible saying to be humble like Jesus, to turn the other cheek, pay evil with good, and pray for your enemies. People tell me it feels like it was a different God from the Old Testament than from the New Testament. How can I answer that properly and biblically?

What is your take on Job’s three friends accusing him that the reason he suffered was because he had done something evil. As I’ve studied it, there are so many points we can get from the perspective of his three friends and from the side of Job. I just want to ask; what wisdom has God given you from understanding this book?

In 1 Kings 2:1-12, David instructed Solomon on how to rule.  In doing so, David told Solomon not to let Joab “grow old and go to his grave in peace” (1 Kings 2:6) and to have Shimei son of Gera to die a “bloody death” (1 Kings 2:9).  It sounds as if David wanted Solomon to take revenge on these individuals for their sins against David.   Your thoughts on this?
