Several times in the Old Testament, Genesis 26:7 in particular, the husband lies and says that his wife is his sister. I know they did that to protect their wives, but that’s lying. Is the Bible saying it’s okay to lie? I’ve been confused about this for a while now.

I have a question about Abraham, Sarah and Hagar and God’s “role” in Hagar’s pregnancy.
