Thanks very much for your good question.  We get questions like this from time to time and are thankful for the opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves…although our desire is to speak of and honor the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is encouraging that you can see our answers are Biblically based.  On our website: www.answersfromthebook.net we state, “ANSWERS FROM THE BOOK seeks to answer your questions according to the Word of God.  When you have questions, you don’t want to know what we think…you want to know what God says!”  We search the scriptures to be able to give scripture based and rightly divided answers from God’s Word.  I encourage you to use our website where we have over 4,750 questions and answers posted.  Our site is easy to use.  Feel free to check it out.

We are four men from Minnesota, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.  We all met each other over the years at different Bible conferences we have attended around the country.  We have known each other for many years (3 of us are in our 70’s, and one is in his 50’s).  None of us has formal Bible college training.  Each of us has been diligent in being Bible students, learning God’s Word and learning practical applications of God’s Word.  We desire that our readers base our credibility on how we properly interpret and apply God’s Word in the answers we give.

We do not belong to a particular denomination.  We seek to gather scripturally by being gathered to Christ’s name alone as we read in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”  We seek to honor the Lord by learning His Word and learning how to apply it to all situations.  2 Timothy 2:15 instructs us to, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  We seek to encourage and strengthen fellow believers on this page by sharing scriptures that will help answer any questions our readers might have.  1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us, “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”  We seek to share the Gospel with the unsaved by including a small Gospel message in many of our answers.  We are very conservative and fundamental in our view and application of the Bible.
