I had to spend some time on the Internet before I felt like I could answer your question. I wasn’t sure what Miracle Money is, or how it was to be gotten. I did find some websites that taught about how to receive Miracle Money. It seems that if you need Miracle Money, or a Financial Breakthrough there are certain steps to attain it. Some of these websites were by some pretty prominent teachers (so-called). I must admit, the more I read about this, the more offended I was by the teachers and the things they taught. Here are just a couple of quotes from these prominent ‘teachers’ that I read:

“I believe every one of us has a spiritual womb where the Word of God enters in and germinates, and we conceive a miracle.”

“When I need a financial breakthrough, I don’t just pray and ask God for it; I also petition the Father to release the angels that are assigned to finances. “Father, give me the angels that are assigned to get me money,” I’ll say.”

I found specific prayers on several websites that supposedly will guarantee Money Miracles IF you have enough faith to cause it to happen. Most of these websites ask for YOUR money as an act of faith so that you can receive MORE money.

Let’s see what the Word of God says about the Lord meeting our needs.

  • Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
  • Psalms 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
  • Psalms 84:11, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

We are assured over and over in the Word that the Lord will supply ALL our needs! Of course, we often confuse our needs with our wants. Too often today, the so-called Prosperity Preachers entice people with promises of great riches. They motivate their followers with greed. We are warned against those who teach that “gain is godliness.” (1 Timothy 6:5). We are told by these money-minded people that the Lord wants us all to be financially prosperous. Solomon, the wisest of all knew of the spiritual pitfalls of riches. He prayed in Proverbs 30:8-9, “Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.” Solomon was content to live according to the Lord’s supply.

While the Lord will absolutely supply all our needs, He also teaches us a very important concept in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” We often suffer lack because we have not met our obligation to ‘work with your own hands.’ (1 Thessalonians 4:11). We read in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” If the Lord has given us the ability to work, we are obligated to use this ability to support ourselves and our families. 1 Timothy 5:8 tells us, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

May the Lord grant us the ability to value all things properly. Earthly possessions are temporary. They will all pass with the using. Riches can be dangerous. They can draw our hearts away from the Lord and cause us to long for more riches. It is too easy to develop a love for money and that will absolutely control us! Let’s close this meditation by considering Colossians 3:1-3 which says, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” (292.2)
