In Genesis 3:8, the bible says, “when Adam and Eve heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden, they hid themselves from the presence of God.” Can one hide from God?  Does it mean that God didn’t see them from where they were hiding when he was calling Adam?  And our God being omnipresent, was God not in the garden when the snake was talking with Eve?  Did they see God face to face?

What should I do if I feel like God gave up on me? What should I do if I feel like I don’t have emotions anymore? Can we lose salvation? When I was younger, I said the sinner’s prayer more times that I can remember.  I’ve been baptized at least 3 times. Why do I feel like God no longer convicts me of my sin? I feel so far away now. I don’t want to go to hell. I believe in Jesus, and I know He is God’s son who died and rose again to pay the price of our sin. Why then is it I feel like I have lost my salvation?

One time my sister disrespected my dad and a few months later she lost her job. My dad later told us that he had asked God to make my sister lose her job. Does God really take orders from people? I sometimes hear my dad say ‘If you disrespect me, I’ll ask God to destroy your future.’

Genesis 5:30 reads, “After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters” (NIV). Obviously, this means that Noah must have had younger brothers and sisters. Are these siblings mentioned elsewhere in the Bible? Do you know of any commentaries that address this?
