I must admit that I had not heard of this ‘veil’ before, so I had to do a little research on it.  This is part of what I found:

“Some people move through life picking up on things others miss. Mood shifts. Timing. Changes that haven’t happened yet but feel close. It’s not guesswork and it’s not imagination. It’s just how their system works. If that sounds familiar, you may have come across the idea of being born with a veil, or you may recognize the experience without ever having a name for it.  Being born with a veil, also called being caul-born, means a baby entered the world with part of the amniotic sac still covering the head or face. Medically, it’s harmless and very rare. Historically, it was anything but ordinary. Many cultures treated it as a marker of protection, heightened perception, or a different kind of inner wiring.  Sailors once carried cauls for safety at sea. Midwives spoke quietly about children who arrived already sensing more than they should. Folklore often linked veil births to people who could read situations, emotions, or outcomes with unusual accuracy.  Even if no one ever mentioned this detail about your birth, many believe the imprint shows up later through patterns in personality and perception.”

“With less than one in every 80,000 babies born with a caul, it comes as no surprise that superstitions and stories surround this mysterious and rare phenomenon. Believed to be the mark of something special, a birth caul may appear startling and sometimes frightening for the mother, but the majority of the time, it’s just a minor and harmless part of the birth process.”

You can find pictures on the Internet of babies being born with part of the amniotic sac still covering its face or head.  This is a rather rare phenomenon, so it may not surprise you to know that some are superstitious about these occurrences.  Let me caution you not to let tales and fantasies cloud your mind into believing things for which there is absolutely no tangible evidence to uphold.

In this case, and in other rare occurrences, people tend to be drawn to situations where an anticipated miracle might occur.  As I read the supposed abilities of babies who are born with a veil on their faces, I was struck with how quickly people attribute strange powers to these babies.  Many are fascinated with the idea of someone having psychic powers or the ability to foretell events. However we read in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, a soothsayer, one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who consults the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God is going to drive them out before you.” (NKJV)

This type of so-called power is condemned in the scriptures because it undermines God’s authority.  It leads people into spiritual deception, and it can make one vulnerable to demonic influence. Scripture portrays these practices as abominations and warns that they can result in spiritual harm or judgment. True guidance and wisdom come from God alone, and believers are called to seek Him rather than human or occult sources.  We are told in 1 John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”  There are strong demonic forces in the world today that will work to deceive us and cause us to take our eyes off the Lord.  I suggest that the ability to know the unknown comes from Satan, himself, and can cause us to focus on occultism rather than to simply depend upon the Lord for guidance and assurance.  We read in Leviticus 19:31, “Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.” (CC)  (726.4)
