There are certain apps on YouTube that send melodies of angels and archangels which they say will heal all body damage. Should I trust this or leave the site?
I would strongly encourage you to LEAVE THE SITE. There is nothing in Scripture that speaks definitively of angels singing and we never read of “melodies of angels.” There is only one passage in Scripture which SEEMS to teach that “angels sing.” Job 38:6-7 says, “To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the MORNING STARS SANG together, and all the SONS OF GOD SHOUTED FOR JOY.” This chapter speaks of the beginning of God’s creation of the world, and many believe the “morning stars” refer to angels as do the “sons of God.” We know from Job 1:6 that angels were called the “sons of God” for it reads, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.” But in Job 38:7 it states that they “SHOUTED for joy,” which could indicate they did not sing. Those who believe the “morning stars” refer to angels say that the stars are symbolic of angels, but in other scriptures we read of “stars and other heavenly bodies” praising the Lord. Psalm 148:1-3 is one example: “Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His ANGELS; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you STARS of light!” Notice how the “angels” and the “stars” are NOT the same thing in these verses. Mr. H. A. Ironside, who did believe the morning stars in Job are angels, had this to say, “They sang together when this world in its pristine beauty sprang from God’s hand. But that ancient song was stilled. Sin came in and marred that beautiful creation, and from the time sin came in we never read again that angels sang.”
Those who turn to the New Testament to show that angels sing refer to two passages. The first one is Luke 2:13-14, “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising and SAYING: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and one earth peace, goodwill toward men!’” These angels were praising the Lord when Jesus was born yet it does NOT say they “sang” these words but that they “said” them. The other reference is Revelation 5:8-10: “Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they SANG A NEW SONG, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; For You were slain, and HAVE REDEEMED US TO GOD BY YOUR BLOOD out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Those who use this passage have a real problem, for the “new song” that they sang was the “song of REDEMPTION” and we know that ANGELS HAVE NOT BEEN REDEEMED. Human sinners who have believed on Christ, the Lamb of God, as their Savior are the ones who are redeemed and will be singing this “song of redemption” in this scene in heaven.
I would like to make one more point about angels. We that are saved are told NOT to “worship angels” in Colossians 2:18, “Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and WORSHIP OF ANGELS, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.” This is brought out forcefully in Revelation 22:8-9 where we read, “Now I, John saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down TO WORSHIP BEFORE THE FEET OF THE ANGEL who showed me these things. Then he said to me, ‘See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. WORSHIP GOD.” Those who are supposedly sending melodies of angels on YouTube and claiming these will result in physical healing are guilty of “worshipping angels.” If I were you, I would leave the site and never return to it.
