Thank you so much for your kind words about Answers From the Book.  AFTB was started in June of 2012.  We had a desire to share the truths of the Bible by allowing people to send us their questions to be answered according to God’s Word.  We have often said that we might not know the answer, but we know where to find it…the Bible.  We have also promised that when we receive questions, we will not give our opinions, but we will use the Word of God to answer the many questions we receive.

We are four men from various places in the United States.  The four of us are from Minnesota, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.  We are all missionaries in the sense that we seek to minister God’s Word wherever He may send us.  We know each other by attending various Bible conferences around the country. 

We do not give our names (although we do give our initials) because we do not want to draw attention to ourselves.  We want to allow the Word of God to speak for itself because “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). 

We are not part of any denomination.  We seek to honor the Lord by owning only His name when we are gathered together for worship and the ministry of the Word.  We have the promise of the Lord in Matthew 18:20 that, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”  We gather to the Lord in His name so that we might honor and please Him.  It is through the name of the Lord that we are saved, so it is in the name of the Lord that we gather together.  We read in Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”  We do gladly recognize that every person that has put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation is our brother and sister in Christ.  In truth, there is only one church (Matthew 16:18).
