In Joshua 11, Joshua is in a battle with 5 kings and kills all of them. Plus, he conquered their cities. I see in the OT wars, killing and conquering. The NT is completely different with the Bible saying to be humble like Jesus, to turn the other cheek, pay evil with good, and pray for your enemies. People tell me it feels like it was a different God from the Old Testament than from the New Testament. How can I answer that properly and biblically?

Not long ago I witnessed the following happening. The blind regained their sight, the lame were made to walk, the sick received instant healing, and other innumerable signs and wonders. I also have observed some teaching their followers to speak in tongues and conduct miracles. This is being done in some ministries/churches today. Why do the current reformers get upset when I say the Trinity is God revealing himself in three different ways or modes? They reject that as modernism and heresy, yet they refer to Trinity as three Persons who are one. It seems to me that the three persons description of the Trinity sounds much like three gods.
