We have had a new Pastor for a month, so I don’t know him well. He wants us to start a Bible study on Henry Blackaby’s book “Experience God.” He says it is one of the best studies ever. My problem is I don’t agree with some of Mr. Blackaby’s teachings. I just don’t know what to do about the situation. Am I wrong in my assumptions that I would know more about God’s Word than two godly men who are Pastors? Would it be wrong to take the course even though I’m uncomfortable? Help please!

According to the Scriptures, believers are advised against forming close relationships with non-believers. Does this principle apply to one’s own family, in the case of having unbelieving relatives? I experience frustration and oppression within my family, which raises concerns about the potential negative impact on my spiritual life. I would prefer not to abandon the progress I have made in my spiritual journey, and as the saying goes, “prevention is better than cure.” It seems necessary to distance myself from any activities or behaviors that the enemy may exploit to disrupt my spiritual well-being.

In 1 Kings 2:1-12, David instructed Solomon on how to rule. In doing so, David told Solomon not to let Joab “grow old and go to his grave in peace” (1 Kings 2:6) and to have Shimei son of Gera to die a “bloody death” (1 Kings 2:9). It sounds as if David wanted Solomon to take revenge on these individuals for their sins against David. Your thoughts on this?
